WordPress Restaurant Menu Builder Guide

Use the JelloPoint WordPress restaurant menu builder to create menus, arrange sections and place dishes in order. Manage menu content in WordPress and style its display with Elementor Free. Daily content and ordering changes do not require editing the Elementor page.

Understand the structure

A Menu is a collection such as Dinner or Drinks. A Section groups related dishes, such as Starters. A Menu Item contains a dish or drink, its description, prices and badges.

Build the content in WordPress, then select the Menu in Elementor. Styling the widget does not create or assign dishes.

Create a menu and its sections

Open JelloPoint → Menus, enter a name and optional description, and add the Menu. Some releases label this form Add Category.
Open JelloPoint → Menu Builder and choose the Menu in Select Menu.
Under Create New Section, enter a title and select Create and Add Section.
Repeat for the groups you need. To reuse a section, use Choose Existing Section → Add Existing Section.

Leave Daily Menu disabled for an ordinary menu. Use Daily & Weekly Menus for date-based display.

Add and assign dishes

Use Create Item in Editor to open an item editor in a new tab. Enter its title, Description and Pricing, choose its Menu assignments and publish it. Keep Show this item on the site enabled for visible dishes.

Return to Menu Builder and refresh the selected Menu. Under Add Existing Items, choose the Target Section, select unassigned items and choose Add selected to Section.

An item can belong to more than one Menu, with one section per Menu. Its title, description and prices are shared wherever that item appears.

Arrange and save the structure

Drag sections and items into the required order. Drag a section right to make it a subsection, or left to move it out again. Use Collapse all to make a long structure easier to scan.

Choose Save Structure, then reopen the selected Menu to confirm the arrangement.

Remove a placement or hide an item

Removing an item from its section removes that placement. Unassigning a section removes it from the selected Menu. These actions differ from deleting the underlying WordPress item or section.

For temporary website-wide hiding, clear Show this item on the site in the item editor. To change one Menu only, change that Menu assignment.

Display the saved menu

Set up the website page with Elementor Free and select Restaurant Menu (JelloPoint).
In Data Source, select the Menu explicitly.
Check the Sections filter and set Max Items to 0 for no limit.
Choose Order (menu order) and Ascending to follow manual item ordering. Check per-section ordering overrides.
Update the page and review the public result.

After setup, edit dishes under JelloPoint → Menu Items and rearrange sections and items in Menu Builder. Save these changes in WordPress; the connected widget uses the updated menu without needing an Elementor page edit. You can create menus manually in Free or Pro, or import CSV or JSON menu data with Pro.
